The film has two things going in its favor – Lack of competition and the cost. The only other Hindi film which has found some collections is Happy New Year and that too is much lower compared to The Shaukeens, considering the fact that it is in its third week. This means The Shaukeens has the stage set to find a stable week for itself. Secondly, the film has been made on a controlled budget and hence it should eventually sail through. What has been appreciated unanimously is Akshay Kumar’s act in the film and that is expected to pull more audience.

First Look: Kangana Ranaut’s Double Avatar In ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’
After giving a sparkling performance in Anand L Rai’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu‘, Kangana Ranaut is all set to return with a sequel and this time it looks like she will be even bolder as she gets company. As the first look of the film is released, we were surprised to find Kangana in a double avatar.
The actress who will be playing a double role in the film is seen in a dual avatar where one is the familiar, curly haired bold ‘Tanu’, the other look of the actress seems tom-boyish as she is seen sporting a short crop in it. Tanu weds Manu had released in 2011 and also starred R Madhavan.
It seems it is a season for double roles as Salman Khan too will be seen in a double role in two of his films, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ and ‘No Entry Mein Entry’. Also actress Jacqueline Fernandez has a double role in her upcoming thriller with Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal titled ‘Roy’.

Tevar Trailer Review: It’s A Staple Glossy With Nothing Extraordinary In It
From the director who was the mastermind behind making the viral Google ads on friends meeting after Partition, Tevar‘s trailer did not show the same unusual thinking. I did not hate Tevar‘s trailer, rather it has everything likeable in it. Arjun Kapoor’s exquisite action, the picturesque, glossy, well color corrected, bright frames, Sonakshi Sinha fitting perfectly in her usual damsel in distress avatar and Manoj Bajpayee being deliciously devilish, are all the good things about the film which is very apparent. But it’s all standard and staple, a commercial potboiler with a hero whose well guided testosterone and overpowering machismo is expected to run the show here.
