Pakistan beat Australia in 2014 Cricket Test Series
Pakistan won back to back Test matches against Australia to clinch a historic 2-0 victory. The Green Machine demolished Australia by 356 runs in Abu Dhabi on 03 November, 2014. This was their first Test series win against the visitors in twenty years.
The second test was particularly special for winning captain Misbah-ul-Haq as he scored the fastest fifty in Test match history. He also equalled the record of Sir Vivian Richards for the fastest Test century in fifty-six balls.
Pakistan came into the Test series without their star players and were low on confidence, especially after suffering a 3-0 defeat in the ODI Series against The Kanagaroos.
In the first Test, Pakistan thrashed Australia by a huge margin of 221 runs in Dubai on 26 October, 2014. This was Pakistan’s first win against the Baggy Greens since 2010.
Jay Sean independently releases Tears In The Ocean
British Asian singing sensation Jay Sean has returned to the music scene with an incredible R’n’B track called ‘Tears in the Ocean’.
The video for ‘Tears in the Ocean’ released on October 25, 2014. The single is the first following Jay’s departure from his US record label, Cash Money, which he officially announced a day before, on October 24, 2014.
Jay was signed to Cash Money in 2008 and became a global name with the likes of ‘Down’ which featured Lil Wayne from his 2009 album All or Nothing which scored him a number one in the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

He also teamed up with Nicki Minaj for ‘2012 (It Ain’t the End)’ from his Hit the Lights album (2011). Eventually however, Jay felt he was beginning to lose his passion for mainstream sound:
“I had and still maintain a great relationship with [Cash Money CEOs] Slim and Baby. They believed in me and my talent and our partnership obviously garnered a lot of pop success,” Jay says in an interview with Billboard.

Tall is well for Aamir Khan!
Aamir khan is known in the industry for his perfection and there is nothing that can come in between. The requirement of the script has been his priority even if that means romancing actresses who are taller than him. And why should that be a hindrance? He knows how to romance his leading ladies with a lot of elan. Aamir even said at an event that he loved tall women and that is very evident with the choice of his co-stars. So here we go listing the taller actresses Aamir has worked with in his films.
Half of world population to use mobile internet by 2020: GSMA
New Delhi, Nov 7 (IANS) Half of the world's population will use mobile devices to access internet by 2020, according to GSMA.
"It is calculated that there were 2.2 billion mobile internet subscribers in 2013, representing approximately 30 percent of the global population. GSMA Intelligence forecasts that an additional 1.6 billion citizens worldwide will become mobile internet users over the next six years, bringing the total number to 3.8 billion, or around half of the world's expected population in 2020," said the report by GSMA, a global GSM body.
"Our new findings underline how mobile is now the gateway to the internet for billions of citizens across the world and will be responsible for connecting millions of currently 'offline' global citizens to the internet in the years to 2020 and beyond," said GSMA director general Anne Bouverot.
In sub-Saharan Africa, just 17 percent of the population were mobile internet subscribers in 2013, but penetration is forecast to increase to 37 percent by 2020.
"Many users in the developing world still access the mobile internet via 2G connections - over 60 percent do so in sub-Saharan Africa. However, a rapid technology migration is currently underway towards mobile broadband (3G/4G) internet," the report said.
In 2013, 900 million of the 2.2 billion mobile internet subscribers connected via 2G, while 1.3 billion connected via mobile broadband.
By 2020, it is forecast that of the 3.8 billion total mobile internet users globally, the number of 2G mobile internet subscribers will shrink to 800 million and mobile broadband internet users will have more than doubled to reach 3 billion.
Dollar slips, stocks flat after U.S. jobs data
NEW YORK (Reuters) - The dollar slipped and global equity markets were mostly flat on Friday after a solid but below-expectations U.S. jobs report for October took the edge off a months-long rally in both the greenback and stocks.
U.S. job growth increased at a brisk clip in October and unemployment fell to a six-year low of 5.8 percent, underscoring the American economy's resilience in the face of slowing global demand.
Yields on U.S. Treasuries came off one-month peaks posted shortly before the release of a Labor Department report that showed employers added 214,000 jobs last month, below the 231,000 increase forecast by economists polled by Reuters.
Wall Street was mixed in a narrow range, and MSCI's all-country world index, a gauge of stock performance in 45 countries, was flat at 418.20.
World's first 3-D printed electric cars to be available in market by 2015
Wellington, Nov 08 (ANI): A US Company has recently unveiled the world's first 3-D printed electric car, which they plan to make available in the market by 2015.
Local Motors stated that they plan to make them available for sale in about a year at prices ranging from US 18,000 dollars to US 30,000 dollars, Stuff.co.nz reported.
Buyers would be able to select their ideal car off a computer screen, and after hitting the print button, a giant machine would then start making the car out of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic, weaving it out of thin lines of paste that harden to form the chassis, body and even the dashboard. The process takes about 40 hours.
Company's CEO John "Jay" Rogers said that the 3-D designed-car will be recyclable as long as it has not been painted.
The prototype of the design was on display recently at the 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. (ANI)
Burger King tests India waters, starts with 12 outlets
MUMBAI (Reuters) - U.S. fast food chain Burger King Worldwide will open about 12 outlets in India over the next 60-90 days, Rajeev Varman, chief executive of the hamburger chain's India unit said on Saturday.
The chain announced last year a tie-up with the Everstone Group to develop the Burger King brand presence in the country.
In India, the hamburger chain has changed its menu to sell mutton, chicken and veggie sandwiches.
"In the long run, India is going to be one of the largest markets globally. Burger King most certainly sees India as one of the biggest opportunities in the future," Varman said ahead of the chain's first store opening in New Delhi.
Burger King is a late entrant in the country. Rival McDonald's Corp has been around for close to two decades and has already grown its network in tier two and three cities.
"Turkey, China and Russia are each growing by around 100 restaurants a year. Here in India, we will set up our first few restaurants and use that to fine-tune our operating model before determining our growth plans," Varman said in an email.
Facebook now allows you to 'see less' from friends on news feed
Washington, Nov 08 (ANI): Facebook has rolled out a more in-depth settings menu for the users wherein they can now choose to "see less" from friends on their news feed rather than unfollow them entirely.
Earlier, users had to choose between follow or unfollow for a particular friend. Now they can just inform Facebook to publish lesser updates in their news feed from that friend.
According to the Verge, there is a new master view that allows you to quickly see everyone you are following and people you have unfollowed so that you can swap people in and out of those groups.
The new setting is also applicable for groups and pages. You can easily tone down the feeds from pages that are extremely loud and flood your news feed with their updates.
However, it cannot be said how much content would be toned down using the new feature of 'see less'. (ANI)
Wi-fi could be 4G of rural India: Railtel chief
New Delhi, Nov 8 (IANS) Wi-fi or a local area wireless technology could be a fourth generation (4G) connection for digitizing rural India, Railtel Corporation of India chairman and managing director R.K.Bahuguna said Saturday.
"Wi-fi could be a 4G of rural India," he said while speaking at the CEO Roundtable on the Aegis Graham Bell Awards 2014 supported by Cellular Operators' Association of India.
Formed in 2000, Railtel is a miniratna government enterprise to provide nation-wide broadband, telecom and multimedia network.
4G LTE is the fastest network connection available in India.
The government has embarked on an ambitious National Optical Fibre Network (NOFN) project that aims at providing broadband connectivity to 2.5 lakh gram panchayats in India by March 2017.
"The government has done a pilot project in three villages, each in Tripura, Rajasthan and Odisha to connect blocks through wi-fi in 2012," said Bahuguna, contending wi-fi is pocket friendly for rural India as well compared to broadband.
"They have limited usage and wi-fi is not expensive," he added.

Salman Khan Meets Narendra Modi In Delhi
Salman Khan, who is currently in Delhi shooting for his upcoming film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘, recently met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the capital. What transpired in the meeting is not known, but the two seemed to have bonded well and had ‘Swachch Bharat’ campaign to thank for that.
The recently launched cleanliness campaign has Salman’s name in the nomination list that the PM had given out to carry forward and promote it. After Salman even participated in one of the drives, the actor praised the Prime Minister’s vision and in turn Modi too acknowledged his contribution.
Well, we have to say, Shah Rukh Khan may have forgotten to invite Modiji for a special screening of his filmHappy New Year, but if speculations are to be believed, Salman’s special visit to the Prime Minister was to invite him for sister Arpita’s wedding. Ahem! Ahem.. That’s a well remembered invitee!
