There’s an extended Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer, adding a few seconds to the footage we’ve already seen. Unless you’re the kind to hulk out over morsels, there isn’t much to get excited about.
You’d actually need to watch this trailer virtually side-by-side with the one that leaked three weeks ago to see the difference, even though the new one is 19 seconds longer.
Most of the new material is made up of snippets from the party scene we saw in much fuller detail two weeks ago as part of another extended trailer shown on ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (This new promo is actually just three seconds longer than that one.)
So what is new? We see Iron Man swoop in and strafe some HYRDA soldiers at what looks like the mountaintop redoubt of Baron Wolfgang von Strucker (Thomas Kretschmann), but most of the new material is merely product placement, highlighting Samsung products.
At one point, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow is shown a Samsung tablet with an image of Loki’s staff — apparently before the Avengers rescue that powerful artifact from the clutches of von Strucker. And later, in the midst of some hulk-busting between Iron Man and Bruce Banner’s big, green alter-ego, we see the tech company’s logo on a building.
